What is muslin?

Chiffon is a delicate and elegant silk fabric.
It is appreciated for creating veils, scarves or other delicate pieces, etc.

Tip: it is best to wash your silk before painting it. This is to remove as much residue as possible from products used during manufacturing.

Chiffon 4.5 is 20 g/m.
Chiffon 6 is 26 g/m.

Remember to properly stretch your chiffon using a slide or notch frame before working on it.

For pre-rolled silk pieces, it is preferable to fix them on a frame using claws so as not to risk damaging the edges. Thus, your whole piece is colored and no sewing work will have to be redone.

Then fix in the oven, in a classic way and respecting all the instructions for use.
